The whole drawing fanart thing I can really relate to. I think any fanartist can relate to it, even if their experiences are different.
For instance, before Hetalia, I was in the Sonic and Pokemon fandom. I still am, but I'm not as active. I drew a lot of fanart for them, posted on DeviantArt before it started getting weird, and I received a lot of praise. As soon as I started Hetalia works, the comments immediately stopped. I was working on drawings that made me proud, only to have nobody really look at it. I drew a little more Sonic and Pokemon a few months ago, and I got close to nothing.
The time of a fanartist is difficult. People want to see fanart, but it shouldn't get to fanartists if they enjoy fanart in the first place.
By the way, from the Original Characters of yours that i've seen, they're pretty cool!
